The Project
Over a two-year contract, we collaborated with i3Verticals to redesign their outdated property tax appraisal software (think Windows 4) into a SaaS platform. Our goal was to increase usability and reduce necessary user training at onboarding.
Despite facing a steep learning curve in property appraisal and ongoing scope changes, we were able to navigate the challenges and handed off a design system and wireframes that addressed both depth and breadth of functionality.

Lessons Learned
Adaptability and continuous learning, particularly when working in specialized web domains, was a big takeaway. We learned to balance the client's feature-by-feature approach with a cohesive overall user experience, developing meeting strategies to support the growth of the product.
The project also highlighted the value of building strong relationships with stakeholders, which proved necessary in navigating the complexities of a constantly evolving project.
